Hi Guys
I reinstalled windows xp pro today, that was a sucess.
I setup my windows messenger and of course had to do the update thing.
My Messenger signs in ok and all looks normal, i can see people sign in ,
but when i click on the name to talk to them it says this message could not
be sent.
When some one sees me on and they click on my name and type to me i do not
get any message
Can you help me out here?
Thanks in advance

Hi Carl:

I'm not sure if this is your problem or not but the symptoms sound exactly
like something I ran across. When I upgraded my computer at work to Windows
Messenger 5.0, I began to get the "message could not be sent error" when I
tried to chat with other users in the office who had older computers that
were running the 4.7 version of Windows Messenger. The problem was
intermittent but seemed to occur about half of the time.

I fixed it by going around and upgrading the older 4.7 versions to 5.0.
That fixed it and haven't seen the problem since.

Hope that helps!

Drew
