Hi Mistoffolees, Hi S. Stanley,
Thank you for your help, but I don't have a OEM version, my old PC was
running a ME and I bought a original XP and changed them. Now I want to
instal this same XP in another PC (my old one it's not working anymore).
I can instal it, is after when I'm connectet to internet that microsoft come
and shuts it down... I need to show microsoft that I have an original XP, but
how? or get another product key, where?

Microsoft CAN'T "shut it down" well, not yet, anyway. What EXACTLY do
you mean?

There are a few versions of Retail XP...upgrade and normal........not too
mention OEM.
if you have an upgrade version you will need the ME CD as verification
during the install.
If you have a "normal" version just run the install procedure.
If by chance it will not automatically authenticate then you will be given
the option to phone MS.Explain that you are doing a new installation because
the old does not work and has been erased.

In the future - stay in the same thread. Less confusing - more likely to
get a correct answer whittled down to...

You mean you purchased a retail version of Windows XP (either upgrade
edition or full version... Doesn't matter - but being retail - it's one of
those two.) There is no 'original' --> anything can be 'original' - even an
'original' OEM version.

You have to contact Microsoft and fix your issue. In order to do this you
will need proof you purchased said Windows XP. You also need to be more
specific about what error you see right before you get 'shut down'.
Microsoft is not 'coming and shutting down' your computer. They are all
still sitting in their offices/homes where-ever they were before you brought
your machine online. Are you actually saying that if you bring your machine
up OFFLINE (no connection to the Internet available to the machine) - it
works?

Sounds more to me like you got yourself infested with some crap - but....

Having trouble with WGA?

MVP Carey Frisch has this set of instructions:

1. Download and install the WGA Diagnostic Tool -
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=56062

2. After running the WGA Diagnostic Tool, click on the "Windows" tab and
then click on "Copy to Clipboard".

3. Next, visit the following website and create a post in the "WGA
Validation Problems" forum and paste the results of the WGA Diagnostic Data
in a detailed post -
http://forums.microsoft.com/Genuine/default.aspx?SiteID=25

4. A WGA troubleshooting specialist will analyze the data and recommend an
appropriate solution.

I don't understand what you mean by "microsoft comes and shuts it down"...
you get 30 days to activate before XP goes into reduced functionality.
Please be a bit more explicit as to what you mean....

Well where did you buy the "original XP" from? Unless you bought a pirate
copy, then the key should be genuine...
