Inspecting document for unnecessary spaces between words

Although I've seen similar questions to the above, I'm still convinced that
I've seen in the last version of WORD some feature which automatically deals
with this. Isn't there a 2007 equivalent to getting rid of spaces?

The answer for Word 2007 is the same as for at least the last three or
four versions: If the grammar checker is turned on, it can be set to
notify you when there are two spaces between sentences, and it will
always notify you when there are two spaces between words within a
sentence. But there is NO automatic feature for removing the extra
spaces -- you need to use the Replace dialog for that.

In Word 2007, the grammar settings are at Office button > Word Options
Proofing > Settings (in the "When correcting spelling and grammar"
section).
