Does anyone know how to get a word page (with background,
pictures and text) to be inserted to a slide in
powerpoint? I am a teacher, students are doing a one
page story in word using background and clipart. I want
to take each word document and make it into a powerpoint
slide show

If each document is one page long:
Try Insert--> Object--> From File, then browse to the Word document. Should
insert it as a Word Object, with no changes to formatting.

If the docs are more than one page long:
I would recommend taking a screen shot of each page, saving each screen shot
as a separate graphic file, and then inserting the graphic files on
successive pages using Insert--> Picture--> From File.

If you plan to link to the files instead of just inserting them, make sure
that all the files are in the same folder/directory as the PPT file before
you do the insert. Then, when you do the insert, check the "Link" button.

Make sense?

Have you tried pressing Print Screen, then opening the
screen shot in Paint and then copying to insert in a PPT
slide? Just a guess here...Bob
