I have read through multiple threads without an answer, so maybe you can help. I have set my Tools/Options/General tab at greater than 50,000, as suggested in other threads. I also removed and reinserted my wma sound file. I also followed other instructions on threads by adding multiple slides. Still no sound on a 3.5 MB sound file. When I right click on the sound icon and select "play" it does not work either.

The sound from my clip organizer works. Also a smaller sample wma file that came with my computer works. I installed my 2003 Office today (I have windows XP). Any suggestions?

First thing to do is to go to Help > Check for Updates. If you just installed
Office 2003 you probably don't yet have Service Pack 1 installed and you'll need
it.

Regarding your WMA. What is the source of the file? Did you create it or did
you download it from somewhere?

and make sure that your Registry shows the right MCI settings. It is possible
that some other audio player has modified the settings.
