Inserting video in powerpoint 2000

hi,

i can't seem to insert a video clip in powerpoint 2000. nothing appears when
the dialog box closes after i selected the file. no icons, nothing,

Can you tell me which files are excepted and/or what i'm doing wrong.

what type of video file is it?
where did it come from?
How are you inserting it into powerpoint (what method) ?

I'm trying to import a clip from adobe premiere.

i can save them as:
microsoft dv

Not supported in PPT.

quicktime

Not supported in Windows PPT.

uncompressed microsoft avi

Should work as long as it's a ture uncompressed avi

microsoft avi

Should work

windows waveform

That would be for sound files



A note: Adobe premiere is tricky to use in that it uses proprietary codecs
and "wrappers" for any files it creates.
