When i plugged in a usb-mouse into a "good"working Windows 2000 pc it works
fine. Device tree reports no problems.

But when i inserting any kind of memorystick into the usb, the system
hangs.
Replaced the usb driver files from a diffrent computer does not work. Also
re-installed the usb-drivers.

Any one? Help !!!!!

If there are network drives mapped to this computer, try un mapping them
before inserting the memory stick.
I've seen computers where a memory stick must take a certain drive letter.

Do you have problems if another user logs in and plugs in a memory stick? If
not recreate the problem user's profile.

Nope, that's not it.

I even logged in 'Workstation only" with no network connections.

I know about the problem with "hidden" usb station underneath a
network-drive, but this computer hangs at the moment of inserting. No
hardware found or anything .....
And a usb-mouse....no problemo
