I am using power point in my classroom, and when I present slide I leave a
blank space where the students will insert the work, as I am reading the
slide. What I what to do is after I finish reading the slide is there a way
to have the word(s) appear? thanks

Place text boxes where you want the words to appear, type the words in the
text boxes and animate the boxes to appear on mouse click.

Just to add to this, it depends on exactly what you want to do. You might
simply want two slides that are identical, except that one has the words
filled in and the other doesn't. With LVTravel's text box method, you have
more control so you could easily bring in the new words one at a time. You
could even use triggered animation to bring them in in whatever order you
want (e.g., a student raises her hand and gives the answer to third box so
you click on that and the answer appears). You could use control text boxes
so you can type the text in the boxes. You see, the possibilities are
endless.

Sometimes text boxes are hard to line up with the text. You could also cover
the words with rectangles in background color and make them disappear using
animations or trigger animations.
