I want to insert some special ascii characters or symbols
(diamond, star, heart, etc.) into some of my text labels.
How may I do this?

Get yourself an ASCII list (download from the web using a
google search). Select your character and then hold down
the shift key while entering the ASCII character number
preceded by a zero (0). For example, to enter a
copyright symbol, hold down the shift key while
entering "00169" without the quotes.

CORRECTION: Get yourself an ASCII list. Select your
character and then hold down the ALT KEY (not the shift
key) while entering the ASCII character number preceeded
by a zero (0). For example, to enter a copyright symbol,
hold down the ALT KEY while entering "00169" without the
quotes.

Use a font that contains those characters. You can type the
code for a non-keyboard character by holding down the Alt
key and typing the ascii code with a leading zero.
