Using Excel 2003, I want to insert stock quotes so that
they are part of a spreadsheet.
Ideally, I'd like a spreadsheet like so:
MSFT 28.18
DELL 36.25
As you can see, I want the price of MSFT and DELL stock
entered.
So far, I've been able to use Tools-Research-MSN Stock
Quotes-Insert Price-Insert Refreshable Stock Data, and
that gets a stock price in there (along with extraneous
information that I don't want, links to ads etc.)
The "refreshable" data seems to default to be not-
refreshing, and I must right click somewhere in the data
range to set the refresh wait.
My question is, if I plan on putting in, say 30 stocks,
am I really going to end up with 30 big paragraphs of
this inserted data (+ads/links etc.) , and then I must
separately right click on every one of them to update
them?
Isn't there an easier way to manage a stock portfolio
inside a XLS with Excel 2003
