When I paste screen shots of movies in ppt, they appear black when i move to
some other slides or files.

What is the best method to insert screen shots (particularly movies) into a
ppt. I have also tried pasting the screen shot first into paint and then
pasting the bmp/jpeg into ppt, but doesn't help.

When you insert other pictures are they 'black' too?

When you open your movie screen shots in 'paint' do they look how they
should?

other pictures appear fine when pasted into ppt. The movie screen shots
pasted in paint also appear fine, when the image is saved as a jpeg/bmp. Its
only when I paste it into ppt that it goes black

Have you tried saving the image from paint in a range of different
'filestypes' so see if that makes a difference.

eg.
jpg
png
tif
bmp

You have to minimize the graphic acceleration otherwise you won't suceed

Nikand,

usuaslly... it is a good procedure to tell which PowerPoint version are you
using...

in this case... it would *even* be better to tell which kind of Media Player
are you using... and with which kind of media...

In any case have a look at...

Specially... "After you open Window Media Player. Go to Tools | Options |
Performance Tab. Reduce the "Video acceleration" from the default Full to
None, click ok."

(What Jean-Pierre says... but with other words... ;-) )

Very cordialmente
