Inserting photos in slides en mass

If I have a group of photos in a folder that I wish to insert into individual
slides, is there a fast way to simply copy all the photos and do a "mass
insertion"? It's time consuming to do it one at a time, and sorting them
would be easier once they are inserted. I've played around with it, but can't
find any way of doing it.
Any suggestion would be of help, and I'd be most grateful. Thanks in advance.

Within PPT you have PhotoAlbum (insert/Pict/Album) Some donét like it. I've
used it from years without any problem
 
This may be the second reply. The first one seemed to get messed up when
sending. I just tried your suggestion and it works like a charm. Thank you
