I have downloaded a true type font which I would like to use in my powerpoint
document. Currently its just sitting on my desktop - how do I go about using
it in my presentation?

In Windows, click Start > Settings > Control Panel > Font.
Drag the font file to the Font folder.
Now proceed to PowerPoint and see if you can use the new font.

I've installed a new font (ttf) into my font folder but it isn't appearing in
my list of fonts in PowerPoint 2003. Does anyone know how to update the
PowerPoint font list to match the computer's font folder?

I usually have better luck if I use File | Install New Font in the fonts
window than I do just dragging and dropping fonts to that folder.

Also make sure you have a printer driver installed and set as the default
printer -- sometimes that limits the number of fonts that show up as
available in the applications.
