I need to know how to insert a music clip into a
Powerpoint 2000 Presentation so that when I send it via e-
mail to another person, the music clip is included and the
person on the receiving end can hear the music as the
presentation is being played. I know how to insert it;
however, this only "links" the music file. I need to
include the file with the presentation. Can anyone help
me with this problem? I appreciate it. Thanx,

Di'Mon

The only multimedia files that can be embedded are WAV's. All others are
linked and must be sent with the presentation when transporting it to other
systems.

The file I am trying to send is a .wma file. I guess my
question is: will the linked music file play on the other
person's computer? If not, how can I link it so that it
does? Is it possible to convert a .wma file to a wav file?

Only way you can achieve "the embedding" is by inserting the audio file as
an object and have it start automatically when slide opens...the file,
however, won't play in the background, it would open with your default
player over the slide, compelling you to minimize so as not to obstruct.

You can make the WMA > WAV conversion with dBpowerAMP Music Converter,
freeware.
