Inserting JPEG files in pp

When I am inserting a JPEG file (average 50KB) in a pp presentation, the pp file tends to become oversized (10 JPEGs create a pp file of 10000 up to 49000KB). This makes it difficult to e-mail these pp files. How can I keep the KB lower?
 
Of course PPT adds some overhead to the file size, but your example seems a
bit high. Make sure 'fast saves' are turned off (TOOLS >> OPTIONS >> SAVE
tab), as it add on to the file size. Then do a save as to eliminate any data
that the fast saves option stored in your presentation.
