inserting AVI movies in PowerPoint

I am trying to insert an AVI movie into Powerpoint 2002
running under XP. The movie was created on a computer
running Adobe Premire and it works fine in Powerpoint on
that machine. I have tried to insert the movie on two
other machines, both running PP 2002 but not Premier and
I get the message that PP "cannot display this type of
sound or movie". What is the solution?
