I used to be able to insert an item such as an email message or draft by
selecting Insert, Item and then selecting the item. This is no longer an
option that I can tell? How can I do this with Vista mail?

In the composition window click Insert.
You have to actually have started composing a message.

Ensure that you have HTML mail sending format selected at
WM>tools>options>read tab>apply/ok

I think Sbrown360 is trying to insert one older e-mail message as an
attachment to a new e-mail message. Clearly, one can attach files by
selecting "Insert" then "File Attachment". However, it does not seem
possible to insert an "Item", which in Outlook, means inserting an e-mail
from your Inbox, Drafts, Message Folders, etc. I also would like to know if
this is possible.

If you want to attach a file to a message, you can drag it overtop the new
message window and that will attach it. You can also drag a message from a
folder to attach it.

Steve, this worked perfectly, thank you! Now if you can only locate my
question about EASILY moving messages contained in Outlook PST files on
Computer-A into Windows Mail on Computer-B...hopefully without installing
temporary copies of Outlook onto Computer-B, etc. Thanks again.

Just a thought.

On computer A - Open Outlook Express and select import from the File menu.
Import from Outlook to Outlook Express. Then move the OE data files
containing the messages to Computer B, I'm making the assumption here that
Vista Mail and Outlook Express use the same mail format, I could well be
wrong but I has to be worth a try.

Ignore my earlier post, I've just done a bit of Googling and it won't work.
Have a look at;

That should work. If he uses OE in XP to import from Outlook then he can
move the OE dbx files to the new machine and then import them into WinMail.
