Inserting a picture

Here is a beginner question for you. How do I insert a picture into a page
when that image is already imported into the web. The only options I see are
to load from scanner, clip art, or file. If I choose file, it looks for it
on my hard disk, not in the web.

Thanks,

Read this first:

You will not take images directly from a scanner because the file size will
be toooooo large. You must 'finish' (resize and optimize etc.) your images
with your image editing program before you import them into the 'images'
folder within your site and then insert them from there. I recommend Paint
Shop Pro v.8 for all your image editing.
Hope that helps...
Eleanor

Do you have the web opened? If you want to insert an image into a page that
is in a web, you must open the web prior to editing the page.

I guess I didn't explain it well enough. The web is open, and the image is
in the images folder in the web. Why can't I select that image when I want
to insert a picture. Instead I have to select "insert from file" and select
the folder where the image is on my hard disk and then save it to my web a
second time.

I either import them or insert them from my hard drive and then save them to
my images folder via Frontpage. I would like to be able to do an
Inser/Picture/From Web, but that option doesn't exist.

Thanks,
Ed B.

You need to always import images, etc. into your current open FP web prior
to using them. This will eliminate have image pointing back to your hard
drive.

Just drag them from Folder List View to your page
