insert timestamp

I have a form used for data entry. I also have a field called DateUpdated.
Presently the user manually enters a date whenever the record is either
created or modified. I would like to have that field calculated
automatically. Is there any way I can do this?

There are several messages that will point you to sample databases as well.

I am able to create a time stamp field as described in the Knowledgebase
document:

However, my data entry form has a subform within it. The above process works
great if I modify an entry made in the main form. The problem arises if I
try to modify anything in the subform.

Any suggestions?
