Insert Table Dialog Box Too Large

I have a small monitor and have my computer set to 800x600 resolution. As a
result, the Insert Table dialog box is too large and the bottom part of it is
hidden from view. What is the workaround for this? I've been pressing Tab and
hoping to get to the OK button to be able to close the window when I'm done,
but that's not really a great solution. All help is appreciated. I need the
resolution to be set at 800x600.

You need to run at 1024 x 768 or download and install Office 2003 Service Pack 1 at:

It's a known problem and a fix is in the works.
Meanwhile, I either drag the status bar to the bottom of the screen,
or simply click the lowest part of the dialog I can see and then press enter.

Pressing [Alt][space] , then M and the cursor arrow up key will move the dialog up

This worked fine until I tried to click in to a box to set table defaults or
click OK. How do you do that after you have repositioned the dialog box?

you should be able to hit the shortcut key (underlined letter) for focus to go to that field

I can move to the checkbox to make it active, but how can I click the mouse
to check it. Is there a keyboard shortcut to place a check in a checkbox?

Try the space bar.

I have SP 1 for Office 2003; doesn't make any difference to the Insert Table
Dialogue; and I run at 800 x 600 on a 19" monitor (1024x768 is too small for
me).

set your task-bar to "auto hide" (right click, properties then check "auto
hide task/start bar").
