I cannot figure out how to insert an accent in PowerPoint 2007. In Word 2007
I use CTRL ' and then type the letter, but this does not work in PP.

You can use the Character Map built into PowerPoint to insert and find the
keyboard shortcut for most characters

Click inside any text box
Then, Insert =>Symbol
Select the font name from the pulldown list
Select Ascii(Decimal) from the other pulldown
Select the character you want to insert from the graphic representations
** Note the number in the Character code box
Click on insert to add this to the text box

If you want to insert this character again, simply hit and hold the Alt key
then type the four digit number shown in the Character code box (with
leading zeros) on the number pad of the keyboard.
