I would like to run a report in Access and then copy the results into the
body of a new Outlook email message. Can any of you guru's suggest a
solution? Thanks in advance

Mark,

You can try using a SendObject macro, and specify HTML for the Output
Format. I am pretty sure that for recipients with most email clients
will see the report in the email body when received.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for your very quick reply. I tried the SendObject function -
specifying HTML output - as you suggested and the result is that the report
shows as an attachment to my Outlook email. I think I was not clear about
the result I'm after... I would like the report copied into the body of the
email - but not as an attachment - I'd like to be able to read the contents
of the report right in the body of the email. Is there a way to create this
result?

Mark,

If you attach an html file to an email, a lot of email clients will show
it in the body of the email when received, assuming the recipient has
allowed html emails. That was my meaning. As far as I know, this is as
close as you will get to showing the report in the email. As far as I
know, the only way to get something coming through in the email body is
if it is either html or an image, and even then very dependent on the
settings of the recipient's software. Well, an Access report is
neither. It can be exported to an html file, or you could do a screen
shot of the report preview, save as an image file, and attach that...
but I don't know of a way to automate this.

Thanks for your help Steve! /// Mark
