Insert PreLoader

Hi,

Using FP03, I would like to insert a Flash preloader page.
Must I create an individual preloader page ahead of index.htm and link
to index.htm or is the preloader Flash code inserted in the index.htm
page in the <head> section?

The preloader will welcome my members to the website and have a "press
enter" button to go to the Home (index.htm) page.

I appreciated any help.

Thank You,

The best way to do this is to:

create a subweb (create a new folder in the root folder, right click
and convert to web)

Publish the existing website to the subweb - make sure that include
subwebs is not selected when publishing

Delete the entire site from the root web - do not delete the images or
_private folders, but delete everything in them.

Create your splash page in the root, and link it to the home page in
the subweb.

The splash page must be named as your home page. By moving the
website to a subweb, any FrontPage navigation is preserved, and links
to the home page will not go to the splash page.

Commonly called a splash page

You can only have 1 home page

If using the FP nav you need to create a root web w/ 1 page (your splash page),
and your main web content is in a subweb

PS
Most users hate them as a waste of time

Thanks guys.

I just want you to know that I'll follow both your advices.

The sub-web structure breaks new ground for me and will be fun
learning.
The fact that most surfers hate splash pages is also taken into
consideration. I hate them, as well and click thru when they appear.

My membership is small, under 50.
If they don't like the Splash/Flash, I'll take it down.

Thanks again.
