Insert Movie File in Powerpoint 2003 - get black box - no play?

I insert a movie file mpeg into powerpoint 2003 - all I see is a black box
that does not play when I click on it. When I advance to the next slide and
come back to it - sometimes it will play. Help!

If you're able( either Bill or Fiora) could you send me an affected
presentation - I cant repro this and I would like to know what causes it. Be
sure to send the mpeg as well. If it's too big to email you can use
www.yousendit.com or just email me and I'll arrange temporary access to our
upload system
 
Dear John,
I am facing a similar problem.
While playing mpeg1 file in power point if i open another window and close
it the space left behind by the window remains blackened and the movie is not
seen in that portion.
Please help.
