Insert Menu...

I am trying to learn how to creat a link for web related chats or for emails.
All instructions I can (finally ) find keep referring to the "Insert Menu"
....."just click on the Insert Menu...." WHERE DO I FIND THAT?! Sorry, I'm
VERY frustrated. I remember some time ago seeing an option on my "Tools" for
"Insert Link" but cannot find it now......

We can't see what you're doing or what instructions and programs you're
working with so can only give a general answer:

In most of the email and chat clients that I've used, I could just
copy/paste a link and it would be "live." Have you tried that instead?
