Is there any way to insert an image (jpeg or gif) into a cell?

You can insert a picture onto a worksheet, and position it over a cell,
but it can't be inserted into a cell.

Another option is to place the picture into a cell's comment. It will
appear when the user points to the cell. There are instructions here:

Thanks. I was hoping that I was missing something. HTML and Word tables can
have images inserted into cells. It seems strange that Excel can't.
