I want to be able to press a short-key like CTRL N and
that inserts a predefined text to a field which has the
focus.
Is that possible?
If so, how?
Thanks

The problem is many of the keys are already used as autokeys, i.e.
pressing ctrl + N opens up the New File dialog.

Why not just make an auto correct entry, using a seldom used
combination of letters, such as vvv (I don't think there is a word
using that triple letter combination), and having autocorrect replace
it with "This is your text"?
Tools + Auto Correct

Because many of the <Ctrl> + Key sequences are already used as shortcut keys
on the standard Access menus, you have to turn off the standard menu first,
and then assign your own menubar for the functions you want.

Alternately use the <Alt> + Key assignments for your text insertions. Very
few ( if any ) shortcuts are assigned to the <Alt> keys.

Yes, that's a possibility. But I'm looking for a quicker way.
Any ideas?
