inquiry about setting up this news group

Greetings! I am trying to set up or link this news group
onto my Office outlook. Everytime I try to...by entering
the address listed as "microsoft.public.outlook.general"
on the newsgroup list, I get a message stating that no
address corresponds to the listed address. I could use
some help please. I want to sharpen my Office and
outlook (Outlook for Office XP) skills by accessing the
news groups.

Outlook won't do news per se - are you going to View-Go to-News and doing
it?
