Input Parameters get deleted

I have a problem that is driving me crazy. Within a form or report I set
the Record Source property and the Input Parameters property to pass data to
the Record Source parameter. Everthing works fine. But if I go back into the
Record Source property to add a field, when I return to the properties
window, Access clears the Input Parameters field. I have to retype everthing
(as well as figure out what used to be there if I originally did it a while
back). This is a big problem.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

Eventually, you'll remember to copy input parameter to a nearby notepad before
touching the recordsource. I do.
