Can you provide us with some additional information, particularly about the
hardware involved? Is this a SCSI or IDE based computer? At what point do
you receive the error message, immediately after the BIOS screen disappears,
or while the Windows 2000 splash screen is displayed or immediately after?
How long has it been since the computer was last successfully restarted?
Typically this message indicates a problem with the hard drive controller
driver, but there may be other causes.
