I'm not sure which model this is equivalent to in the US. Likely the
C88 or maybe C68??
Under any circumstances, are you using Epson or 3rd party ink
cartridges? Are they the correct ones for that printer model?
If no and or no, you may have the wrong cartridges for your printer, or,
in some cases, even the "correct" cartridges by 3rd party manufacturers
will not work properly. Some 3rd party cartridge manufacturers supply
them without the monitor chip, expecting you to use your own from old
cartridges and reset them with an ink resetting device. If the
cartridges you installed do not have the chip, be very careful trying to
remove them. The missing chip allows the contact wires in the cartridge
carriage to get caught in the hollow, and trying to remove them can
cause the contact wires to get bent and broken.
If yes and yes, try pushing the cartridges down to make sure they are
properly seated, and test. If that doesn't do it, try unplugging the
printer from the electrical mains (connection) for 30 minutes or so and
then plug it back in and see if that resolves this.
If that still doesn't do it, you may wish to try cleaning the small wire
contacts in the printer's head carriage (they are brittle so be careful,
use rubbing alcohol), the same goes for the surface of the chip on the
cartridges to make sure they are clean.
Beyond that, I expect you have either a defective printer or cartridges,
or both.
