InitializeComponent code being mysteriously deleted

I managed to find some old posts through Google related to this, but none
that is recent. This appears to have been a mystery for some time.

For the first time, I checked my ASP.NET sources into SourceSafe yesterday.
Today the automatically generated code from InitializeComponent was gone
from 2 out of about 20 aspx.cs's. I'm using Microsoft Visual C# .NET
69586-335-0000007-18129.(VS.NET 2003 v. 7.1). Over the course of about 6
weeks before the checkin I never had this happen. Some of the posts I saw
indicate that there is indeed a connection to SourceSafe.

Is this still a problem or is there a fix?

Yes, I'm sure. I'm the only developer on the only machine. I just did one
"checkin and keep checked out". And why would that code specifically be
deleted?

If you Google the words "InitializeComponent" and "deleted", you'll see many
instances of this problem dating back a couple of years. I just can't find
anything indicating it's been fixed.
