Hi rjwesq,
You're quite welcome! For the internal IP (read as NAT firewall)
on your DSL modem, call your ISP and ask them to enable DMZ
for that device in order to stop it from acting as a hardware firewall.

| No, Jimmy, I'm not. I was having the same problem, and had done a search on
| the web for an answer, and came across yours. I tried it and it didn't work.
| But then I figured out...duh....I not only had the windows firewall, but
| also my McAfee firewall, and I hadn't created an exception in McAffee. Also,
| I had to create an exception for DirectX. That stopped the error message,
| but I still can't connect to a network game. I think it has something to do
| with the dsl, and it assigning me an internal IP address. But thanks for the
| advice. It worked, once I did it correctly.

|||| Hi quantumtime,
||||
|||| Sounds like you have a software firewall such as Nortons, Zone Alarm, etc.,
|||| which is preventing the game from connecting to the network at first.
||||
|||| If you have such a firewall, make sure to add scrabble to it's allowed applications
|||| list. To test the theory before making changes, exit from or disable your firewall.
