Infrared lens

Hello evryone

just recently i discovered that my new lapton (Hp Pavilion dv2000)has a
infrared lens, i thought it was bluetooth but thanks to a small booklet i
discovered it is infrared O.O well anyway, i've been searching for the
hardware in control panel but it seems that i dont have it so i can't enable
it... could somebody please tell me if i have the infrared lens why dmy
computer doesn't have the hardware? do i have to return it where i bought it
or the software can be downloaded? please im no computer nerd so please...
HELP!!
 
any luck in the infrared section in control panel? who is the maker of your
pc? have you looked at there web site to see if you need special drivers for
it? is it enabled in bios/cmos?

It may not be a two-way infrared port, but only a one-way port for the
multimedia remote control that HP sells with some computers and makes
available as an option on others. If so it won't show up in Device Manager
and you won't be able to access it except with the provided (or optional)
remote.
