Information Store

Receive an "Information Store could not be opened" when i
try to open Outlook. I am connecting through a VPN to
access my work email. need help. Is this a network
setting issue?
 
Can you ping the Exchange server by name? If not, can you at least ping it
by its internal IP address? If the latter works, but the former doesn't, you
need something to do local name resolution, like a hosts or lmhosts file on
your computer.

If neither of the above works, can you open your mailbox in Outlook Web
Access, if you have it?
