IS THERE A WAY TO BUILD A DATABASE FILE USING ACCESS. I WANT THIS FILE TO
HOLD ALL OF MY CUSTOMERS CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. I DON'T WANT IT TO RUN THE
CARD I JUST WANT A DATABASE THAT I CAN PRINT OUT SO I CAN STOP THE PAPER
TRAFFIC AND HAVE IT ALL IN THE SYSTEMS

1) please don't SHOUT. Typing in all CAPS is considered shouting and is very
difficult to read. Find your shift key and use it please.
2) I would never store credit card information in an Access database. I
don't feel it can be adequately secured, particularly by a new Access user.

I agree with both of Duane's comments, but I am not sure just what you _do_
intend to do with the database. If physical security is enough... say, it is
your own private store card and the computer is physically secured in a
locked area.... then Access might be suitable. It is certainly physically
capable of storing the information, retrieving it in different ways, and
printing out reports of various kinds. It does not include a "credit card
application", however, right out of the box, nor is there even a "template"
for one -- because it is, for reasons of security and recoverability,
generally not the right software for that purpose.
