Information Bar - Active content blocked

I'm inserting OCX's on local intranet pages using FrontPage. All of our own
OCX's are working, with certain security settings set to 'enabled' (for the
local site only)in internet options.

However, I am also trying to include an external unsigned OCX on one of our
intranet pages.
On doing so - no matter which options are set in internet options - even
with everything enabled, the information bar constantly pops up and all my
users of that web page need to right click and allow the content to even use
it!

The only setting I can see that completely stops this happening is in the
advanced tab of the internet options and it is the one which 'allows active
content to run in files on My Computer'. The network security administrator
is not happy with me turning this on firm wide as it opens us up to all sorts
of internet installations generally.

Does anyone have any other suggestionsplease?

Thanks

Gwe,

Try the "Mark of the web" option.

I have put that tick on but as the article suggests this is not a recommended
option to roll out to the whole firm and my secruity administrator won't do
it? I have tried adding that code to all the pages I want the unsigned OCX
to run on but as the ocx is on a VB form of another OCX the pop up security
message is actually appearing in the VB form, not at the top of the asp page
I am running so this code has made no difference and its not an htm page so I
can't rename it .hta? Removing SP2 is not an option as this has also been
rolled out firm wide! Can anyone help??
