A
adrian philpott
XP platform. Query on images downloaded from a digital
camera: Each saved jpeg file also records size, pixels,
date created, date last modified, the date and actual time
of day to the exact second that the pictures were taken,
and even the model number of the camera that took those
pictures. Is there a way to disable, hide or modify this
function which is carried out without the
owner's 'permission'?
If I send a picture to a friend, or post to a newsgroup,
there is a lot of additional information which is also
conveyed to anyone by simply holding the cursor over the
listed file name, or perhaps going to image properties. I
may not want to reveal this. And strangely, not all images
shot at same session record full information, sometimes
just the image type, Kb and pixel size is all that
appears. Is there a way to remove the attendant
information by copying the image elsewhere, saving in a
different format, using a graphics program, preventing
Windows from recording the information with the graphic,
or some other way? I'm scratching for a solution. Reply
