Infected with Trojan. Alureon.gen cannot access windows update

my computer was infected with a trojan called Alureon.gen.

Even i removed it with trojan remover, I cannot access the window update
page and the error code 0x80072EE7 is given


can anyone help me to solve the problem

Download/execute:
CCleaner - Free
Cleans temporary internet files, cookies, history, recent urls, application
MRUs, etc. ...

If Windows Defender is utilized go to Applications, under Utilities
uncheck "Windows Defender".

Then:
Download David H. Lipman's MULTI_AV.EXE from the URL:

There's no updating involved since the thing is updated
several times a day and you simply download the updated
scanner whenever you want to do a scan. (Scan in Safe-Mode).

make sure it is not infected anymore
download superantispyware (free version) at http://superantispyware.com
install it, update defintions and do a complete scan

once this is done
download dial a fix (this is for xp only) I do not think it will work in
vista
at
http://wiki.lunarsoft.net/wiki/Dial-a-fix#Mirrors.2Fdownload_locations.2C_and_articles
scroll down till you see
Dial-a-fix v0.60.0.24 (2006-10-27)
download it and install it
now click on WU/WUAU

put a check mark next to fix Windows Updates
Run it and wait till it is finished
reboot computer and try to go to Windows Updates now
