inernet searches

I cannot perform searches that Iused to be able to do.
When I go to www.google.com and try to do a search, I get
a message saying that a connection could not be made.
But I can do a search at www.image.google.com. I can go
directly to a URL, so the problem is that I can't peform
certain searches. Also, I cannot connect to
www.lycos.com.

You need to install, update and scan your system with an XP compatible Anti
Virus program.
Also make sure your XP Critical Updates are current.
Also either enable the XP ICF or install and update an XP compatible
Firewall program.
