Industry Standard Architecture (ISA) bus

Windows XP does not have native support for ISA devices.
You'll have to supply the appropriate drivers for such devices.

Building on the previous reply, if the pC is old enough to use ISA, it is
probably a poor candidate for an XP upgrade. Instead, consider a cheap,
modern PC with XP pre-loaded. The CPU, Ram, bus (PCI) will all likely be a
lot faster, and the disk will likely be larger as well as faster.

Does anyone know if the basic motherboard ISA bus is compatible with
Windows XP

I have a P-III 866 which has 1 ISA slot. It is fast enough to do basic XP
Internet browsing and email.
