If I set up a distribution list, can I send an email through the DL but only
having each individuals name in the TO: field of the email. I don't want
everybodys name from the DL on every email that goes out. IE to customers in
a DL but not wanting each customer to see the other customers name in the TO:
field of the email. Each email is recipient specific.

That requires a mail merge to electronic mail. You can only use Contacts for
that, not a DL.

I put my own name in the to field and the DL in BCC

Fine, but the OP wanted each email to be "recipient specific."
Still requires a mail merge.
