"indirect Query"

How do I write a query in which the form should be like..
There should be two Combo box with dropdown 'X and Y'.
If I select something in the one combo box where I select X only those Items
pertaining to X should appear and so on.

In simple words if I select 1 then only those relating to 1 sholud appear
and if select 2 only those relating to 2 should appear and so on.
