I wonder if anyone can help me,
My problem is that the indicator bar that runs at the
bottom of the page when you put a web address in is
missing, I don't know the name for it, It is normally
just a blue line that goes across at the bottom of the
page next to the task bar to indicate how long it will be
before you get to the web page that you have chosen.
Can anyone tell me how to get it back.

many thanks in advance

Paul

try this, while viewing a website click on "view" from
the title bar and then select "status bar"

To make your Status Bar reappear (and stick)

Close all your applications
Open Explorer (Window Key-E)
Select View, Status Bar (you should now see the status bar)
Goto Tools, Folder Options
Goto the View tab
Hit, apply to all folders
Hit ok to accept
Close that instance of Explorer

That should fix it for you

(note this is the procedure to get the status bar back in IE as well)
