Whenever I try to upload this one video clip into my Windows Movie Maker
program it says that the file "is not indexed and cannot be imported." What
does this mean and how can I fix it???
This is for a very important presentation to be given in a matter of days,
and a timely reply would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Oh sorry again... it's a .wmv file then... but does it really matter? I mean,
is there any difference in how you index an audio file and a video file?

If you have windows encoder 9 installed then you can use the utility windows
media file editor to re-index the file.
Go to start>programmes>windows media>utilities>windows media file editor.
If you haven't got WME9, then download it for free from MS site.

I downloaded the Windows Media File Encoder from the MS site. But there's no
windows media listed under start>programs on my computer. I went into the
file where I saved the download and ran it but the video still came up as not
being indexed.

Hey I figured it out... I had to install it a couple of times... I don't know
why... all I know is that I have a tendency to fail miserably when working
with computers. I somehow managed to index the file... Thank you so much! For
saving my presentation I am eternally grateful.
