indexing network drives

Hi,

I'm trying to configure my win2k pro computer (SP4) to index my network shares but if I enter the drive letter for a mapped drive (e.g. H:\, which point to a share on a server) then the error "invalid directory name" pops up. How do I index remote shares on my computer?

I don't think you can - has to be done on the machine where the data
resides....
