I am working on a project for school which states

1) Open database called Condo Management in Design View ( did this with
no problem)

2) Create an index on the combonation of Bedrooms and Bathroom field.
Name the index
Bedbath.
3) Then essentially the same thing with sleepbed as index name and
adding sleeps and Beds.

I did this by opeing database in design view, clicking on the empty
fieldname below the last entry in database...then clicking index
button.....then clicking on index name adding bedbath Tab over hit bedrooms
Tab over hit ascendingTab again then once more and hitting Bathrooms

same steps followed entering Sleepbed...but when I hit close and for it to
save .....and I re-opn the database in design view...it shows no entries
added?

ummmm... why would you expect it to?

An Index in Access stays pretty much in the background. It makes
sorting and searching on the indexed field more efficient. Creating an
Index will not make any visible change to your tables or to your data;
it certainly will not add any new records to any table.

I think you're just misunderstanding the role and function of an
index. What are you trying to accomplish?

oh ok now I see, I was assuming that because the instructor wanted a print
out after this step, that it had to be a visible change.
Thanks
Kelley
