Indexing a Network Drive

I have my basic documents on a network drive and would like to index them for
faster searching. How can I do this? It only looks like it will let me
index files on the local hard drive.
 
Wasn't this feature disabled in the later \ final builds of Vista ? I could
be mistaken, anyone able to offer any other insight ?
