Hi,

I want to create indexes on multiple columns. How can we do that from
within the access user interface ?
Secondly, is there a way to view multiple indexes from within the access
interface ?

While in table design view go to View - Indexes on the menu bar.

To create a new multi-column index you start with the first empty line in the index
dialog and fill in a name for your index and the first column name. On subsequent
lines add more column names but leave the index name blank.

From the Table Design View, click the Indexes button, or
View->Indexes.

You can name the Index, then assign multiple columns to
it. The next index starts with a new name.

Open the Table in design view and click on the "Indexes" tool in the
toolbar - looks like lightning hitting a datasheet - or use View...
Indexes.

You can't view the contents of any index, single or multi - there's
nothing there to see that is useful, it's all just binary pointers.
