Hi I have a column with eg. "4,5,6,7,8" and a sheet with values eg.

0 Lie on your back with lower legs on top of the bench, Make sure
thighs are at 45° angle.
1 Put your hands behind your neck and raise your upper body without
the helps of your hands.
2 Concentrate on working your abdominal muscles.
3 Exhale when going up and inhale when going down.
4 Stand up with feet at shoulder width.
5 Position the barbell on your shoulder at the back of your neck.
6 Put your hands across the barbell and keep your back and neck
straight.
7 Bend your waist forward until your upper body is parallel to the
ground.
8 Keep your knees straight at all times.

What I want to do is lookup the values of the cell. ie if cell a1 has
4,5,6 in it return value "Stand up with feet at shoulder
width.Position the barbell on your shoulder at the back of your
neck.Put your hands across the barbell and keep your back and neck
straight."

if A1 has "0,1" then "Lie on your back with lower legs on top of the
bench, Make sure thighs are at 45° angle.Put your hands behind your
neck and raise your upper body without the helps of your hands.

My problem is to try and use a cell with more than one value in it
seperated by commas.

Thanks in advance

You may be better off if you put the numbers in individual cells, with
intervening cells containing the comma. In addition, reduce the column
width so that it is the size of a single digit. Finally, format the
borders to give the effect of a single cell.

Now, you can use vlookup and the concatenate operator (&) to do what
you want.
